Acceptance of Terms

By downloading and using SlashNote, you agree to these terms.

License

SlashNote grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the application on your Mac.

Subscription & Billing

Notes are unlimited on all tiers. The free tier includes approximately 5 AI requests per day. Pro Monthly and Pro Yearly subscriptions are auto-renewing via the Mac App Store and provide a x10 AI boost along with premium features (MCP server, voice input, emoji tags, shake gesture, and more). Lifetime is a one-time purchase that unlocks all Pro features, but AI requests remain at the free-tier level. All payments are processed by Apple via StoreKit.

AI Features

AI features use third-party providers: /note Cloud (default — Anthropic Claude via Replicate API), Replicate (direct API, user key), and Anthropic (direct API, user key). We are not responsible for AI-generated content. Cloud AI features send note content to the selected provider's API. You must comply with each provider's terms of service.

MCP Server & Note-Loop

The MCP server allows external AI agents to access your notes. The /note-loop feature can execute tasks via Terminal on your behalf. Both features are disabled by default. You are responsible for configuring and securing access to these features on your machine. By enabling them, you accept full responsibility for any actions taken by external AI agents.

System Permissions

SlashNote may request: Microphone (voice input), Accessibility (shake gesture), and Apple Events (/note-loop Terminal launch). You can revoke any permission in System Settings at any time.

User Content

Your notes are your content. All note data is stored locally on your device. We have no access to it and provide no backup guarantee. You are responsible for maintaining your own backups.

Third-Party Services

SlashNote integrates with: Supabase (AI backend), Replicate (AI model API), Anthropic (AI model API), Apphud (purchases), Apple StoreKit (payments), Firebase/Google (analytics & crashes), Amplitude (analytics), and HuggingFace (voice model downloads). By using features that rely on these services, you agree to their respective terms.

Intellectual Property

SlashNote and its branding are property of Ilya Razuvaev. Your notes and content remain yours.

Limitation of Liability

SlashNote is provided as-is without warranties. We are not liable for data loss. Please maintain your own backups.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Russian Federation. For EU/EEA consumers, mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence take precedence where applicable.

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
